EZLOK threaded insert
Introduction to ezlok threaded bushing:
Ezlok thread bushing, also known as self tapping screw sleeve, is a new type of fastener to strengthen the thread strength. The self tapping screw sleeve is embedded in soft materials such as plastic, aluminum alloy, cast iron, copper, etc., which can form a high strength internal thread hole. The self tapping screw sleeve can also repair the damaged internal thread.
The self tapping screw sleeve installation does not need to pre tap the thread. It can be directly screwed into the specific hole reserved by the wood with the installation tool. The same screw can be used for the female thread with broken teeth, which is economical and beautiful, and can increase the thread strength for new products.
Self tapping screw sleeve (self tapping socket) has been widely used in automobile industry, rail car industry, shipbuilding industry, household appliances, construction machinery, business machinery, electronic products, engineering, plastics, high-grade modular furniture and other industries.
Material of ezlok threaded bushing:
The materials of self tapping screw sleeve are generally carbon steel and stainless steel
1) It is suitable for aluminum alloy, copper alloy, plastic and other low engineering strength substrate.
2) Stainless steel; suitable for high strength products such as cast iron.
Features of ezlok threaded bushing:
The self tapping screw sleeve has the ability of self tapping, and the base metal does not need to be tapping in advance, thus saving the cost.
The contact surface between the self tapping screw sleeve and the finished product is large, and the tensile force is strong. The material with lower strength can be used in product design.
The self tapping screw sleeve can repair the worn or broken thread, and the same screw can be used continuously.
The self tapping screw sleeve has strong vibration resistance and can prevent loosening.
There is no clearance between the self tapping screw sleeve and the base metal. If the base metal contains bubbles, it has good air tightness.
The installation of self tapping screw sleeve is simple and rapid, only one kind of assembly tool is needed, the cost is low and there is almost no defect rate.
Advantages of ezlok threaded bushing:
1) For the worn or broken thread, the same screw can be used if the self tapping sleeve is used.
2) The self tapping screw sleeve has the ability of tapping thread by itself, and the base metal does not need to be tapping in advance, so the cost is saved.
3) The installation of self tapping screw sleeve is simple and rapid, only one assembly tool is needed, the cost is low and there is almost no defect rate.
4) It has strong resistance to vibration and can prevent loosening.
5) There is no gap between the base metal and the base metal. If the base metal contains bubbles, it also has good air tightness.

There are two installation methods for ezlok threaded bushing:
Self tapping screw sleeve installation method 1: when the installation quantity is small, simple installation method can be adopted. Specifically, the method of corresponding specification bolt + nut is adopted. The self tapping screw sleeve is fixed on the corresponding type of screw, and the same type of nut is used to fix the three parts as a whole. Then the screw sleeve is screwed into the bottom hole with a wrench, and then the screw can be withdrawn.
Self tapping screw sleeve installation method 2: when the installation quantity is large, the special self tapping screw sleeve installation tool can be used. The end of the self tapping screw sleeve installation tool is a hexagon head, which can be connected with a hand tapping wrench, or connected with electric or pneumatic tools.
Precautions for installation of ezlok threaded bushing:
1. According to the different processing materials, refer to the drilling size specification to carry out pre drilling processing. When the corresponding material hardness is high, please slightly increase the bottom hole in the drilling range.
2. The slotted end shall be downward, and the self tapping screw sleeve shall be completely installed into the front end of the tool, and the workpiece shall be contacted vertically. When installing (1-2 pitch), please make sure that it is aligned with the bottom hole and must not be tilted. Please do not reverse the tool and readjust it before use. After entering 1 / 3-1 / 2, it is not allowed to start again. In addition, please do not reverse the rotation of the tool, otherwise it will cause product failure.
